KARACHI: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has released the month-long flight schedule for the 2024 Hajj, starting from May 9 to June 9, an official said on Friday.
All flights scheduled for the first 15 days will land at Madinah Airport, while most flights will land at Jeddah Airport from May 24 to June 9, the spokesman said.

On the first day of the planned operation, the country will operate 11 special flights to transport 2,160 Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, including 330 passengers from Karachi on two flights, 680 passengers from Islamabad on three flights, 670 passengers from Lahore on three flights, 329 passengers from Multan. two flights, 151 from Sialkot one flight
Subsequently, the first Hajj flight from Balochistan will depart from Quetta on May 11 and from Sukkur on May 27.
Pakistan will operate a total of 259 special Hajj flights for over 68,000 pilgrims registered in the government program, the ministry said, adding that the special operation will end on June 9.
Later, on June 20, the country will resume flights to bring pilgrims home after completing the holy pilgrimage, the department concluded.

After voting for the government's hajj scheme in December last year, 63,805 out of 69,438 citizens remained successful, Radio Pakistan reported.
Last year, more than 81,000 pilgrims from Pakistan undertook the holy pilgrimage under the government's program.
Last year, Saudi Arabia restored Pakistan's hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims and also removed restrictions on the upper age limit of 65 years.
